I have stilled and quietened my heart
I wait here
I wait in the stillness
For You to speak to me
I wait…
To hear Your words of affirmation
Your words of revelation
You words of comfort
Your words of life
And as I wait here
Stilled and quieted
You speak to me

I hear Your tender voice
Gently calling my name
Beckoning me to come closer
To snuggle in
To make myself at home
To come and rest here
In the stillness
With You

How I love to be here
In this place of deep intimacy
In this place of safety and security
In this place of belonging
How I enjoy this time
In Your presence
Where all the strains
All the cares of life
Quietly slip away
And I tune in instead
To You
To Your gentle voice

My heart comes alive
Life pulsates through my being
Bringing an energy
And a vitality
Bringing an awakening
Bringing a deep and inexpressible joy
I revel in the safety
And security of this place
Here…with You

Father, how I love to be with You
How I love to spend time
In Your presence
There is no place like it
In this place of freedom
